Keynote Speaker: Carlsbad-based Marine Cops Brigadier General David M. Brahms.  The Harvard Law School-educated, highly decorated career officer served with the 1st Marine Aircraft Wing in Da Nang, Vietnam. Among his multiple awards, he received the high Legion of Merit Bronze Star with Combat V. Since retiring from active military service in 1988, Brigadier General Brahms has been a strong advocate for veterans.

Vietnam Veterans will be presented special lapel pins provided by the Department of Defense’s Vietnam War Commemoration.

Slideshow of Vietnam Veterans:  Please submit photos (by Friday, March 16) of Vietnam Veterans while in service during the Vietnam War for a slideshow being prepared for the event. Send photos in a JPG format to Shelly Dew at sdew@hospicenorthcoast.org

Remembrance Table – A remembrance table will be available to share photos and mementos of Vietnam Veterans unable to attend or no longer with us.  Please bring photos and mementos of friends, family, and loved ones to display on this table during the morning, to be taken home with you at the conclusion of the program.  You may also remember your friends, comrades, and loved ones by writing their names on cards that will be provided.

Special Entrance - For those Vietnam Veterans and guests who would like to enter without the welcoming crowds, we have a separate entrance on the south side of the building.

Uniform / Dress – Veterans are invited to wear their uniforms, if possible.  If not, Vietnam Veterans are welcome to wear clothing and gear that identifies them as a Vietnam Veteran.  Otherwise, dress for the event is patriotic casual.
